as related teaching and educational activities in Japanese Culture & art,

Dollhouses, Drawing and Cartooning,
Medical Computer-based Education and several other craft & educational
activities apparantly unrelated, but unified by creativity.
We also run a brick and mortar business, PUGDOG's Rock & Bead Shop,
but better known to many as The Rock Shop in Squirrel Hill.
Our BetterBeads.com site is developing,
with access to forum areas, a growing database including books, and
an updated announcements area about what's available in our Shop.

We had to give in to the SpongeBob Mania sweeping the world (and my kids). If you need SpongeBob videos,
or posters, or anything related to the square, yellow sponge, check out Spongier.com or Squarier.com

Our shop keeps changing. For such little things, Beads demand more and more space,
and we have to give it to them. Many people run in to our shop, and never notice that
*most* of it is off to the right. They look at the beads on the wall behind the counter,
and their view is actually fully blocked to see the "back" of the store where the bulk
of the beads are. So, please visit BetterBeads.com and
click the "Take the Tour" link. Below is another small view of the "back" of the shop.

The above photo shows the entrance to our shop. The rock pit is just out of sight to the left. You can see the bead mine, treasure chests, display cases, wood turnings, hollow wood ornaments, hand knitted and crocheted purses, and more. To the top right are selenite icicles! We still have a small stock of them for this holiday season. Natural fiber optic, and metaphysically perfect for the holiday, they never melt.

We never cease to be amazed at what we find on the Internet, but every once
in awhile, something strikes us as even more "unusual." In looking for more origami
and paper crafts sites, I came across this paper model of Schenley Park Visitor's Center just a hop, skip and not-quite-hulk-sized jump from our location. Cut it out, it's already pre-colored.
Odd.

- *REMEMBER* Check out our Announcements area for updates on what new beads, fossils, minerals, and
other stuff we get in! Right now new Ocean Jasper Pillow beads, pyrite beads, Kunzite, Kyanite beads and much more! Due in more pyrite samples,
lodestone, fossils, sharks teeth, and fossil cave bear teeth. Great stuff, first come,first served!
- Please check out our new Bead Bag of the Month and planned Seed Bead Club. We feel
it's the least expensive way in the long run to increase your stash of beads!
- For those in the Pittsburgh area, we have special options for you on your bead club. You can come in and pick/choose your
beads from *ALL* our stock, not just we had planned for that month. Stop by the store and ask us!
- Old Updates
NEW We have opened a retail shop,
Eclectia Hobbies, in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh. It is primarily a Rock & Bead shop,
but it ties together all our craft, hobby and collectible interests. We have a great
selection of Origmi paper, collectible Sci-Fi Vehicle kits, Quilling and Mizuhiki papers,
and much, much more.
The following is a partial list of our main sites, some are still under development,
or redevelopment, others have been on-line for a long, long time.
And much, much more! (We also have many, many more sites coming in the next 12 months....)
As you can see we've not been sitting around doing nothing for the past 12 years, we've just forgotten
to tell everyone about it!
